Content & Copyright Policy

Booktime distributes audiobooks under licence from their rights holders. This policy explains how we handle copyright, and how to notify us if you believe something in the catalogue infringes your rights. Booktime is developed by AnyDev ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Our Catalogue

Every title in Booktime falls into one of two categories:

Licensed works — audiobooks we distribute under agreement with the author, publisher, narrator, or their representative.
Public domain works — titles whose copyright has expired, narrated in recordings we have commissioned or licensed. Note that although the underlying text may be in the public domain, a specific narration is a separate copyrighted work and remains protected.

We do not accept user uploads. Nothing in the catalogue is submitted by end users.

2. Your Rights as a Listener

Your subscription grants a personal, non-commercial listening licence. It does not transfer ownership of any recording, and it does not permit you to record, copy, redistribute, publicly perform, or broadcast the audio. Those restrictions are set out in our Terms & Conditions and EULA.

3. Reporting Infringing Content

If you own the rights to a work, or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf, and you believe a title in Booktime infringes those rights, send a notice to development@aubiblio.com with the subject line "Copyright notice".

Please include:

Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
Identification of the work you claim has been infringed.
Identification of the material in Booktime you want removed, precise enough for us to locate it — the exact title, author, and narrator.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
Your physical or electronic signature.

We review every complete notice, and we remove or disable access to material we determine to be infringing. Notices that are incomplete may be delayed while we ask for the missing information.

4. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Include your contact details, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error. We will forward your counter-notice to the original complainant and may restore the material as permitted by applicable law.

5. Misuse of This Process

Knowingly submitting a false claim of infringement — or a false counter-notice — may expose you to liability for damages and costs under applicable law. Please be sure of your rights before filing.

6. Repeat Infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

7. Trademarks

"Booktime" and the Booktime logo are marks of AnyDev. Titles, cover art, author names, and publisher marks appearing in the catalogue belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the works we distribute.
